Dear Hilary and the Essex Hog Roast team.
Thank you for all your hard work at our wedding at Marks Hall this October. The whole roasted lambs were absolutely superb; we have had many positive comments about the food in general from our guests but particularly the lamb. The crumble for desert was also excellent. The organisation of the catering from start to finish was absolutely spot on.
The other thing that many of our guests have mentioned to me is how good the staff were on the day, friendly and attentive but very professional and no sign of any stress whatsoever which is impressive considering that you essentially built a kitchen from scratch in the corner of the room!
The two chaps who worked the bar for us in the evening deserve special mention for really entering into the spirit of the occasion.
We had a superb day and it wouldn’t have been the success that it was without your advice before hand and great food on the day.

Just a quick note to say how superb the hog and sausages were, and the crackling was the best. All of our 120 guests thought the service and food was first class so a big thanks. I would like to point out that Ash and assistant were really good, helping to sort beers, carry wines, sort salads they were fantastic. We had a great anniversary celebration and the catering helped enormously.

I would just like to send a few words to you and your team to say a huge thank
you for a fantastic evening on Sunday. All of my guests had a wonderful time.
I have received many comments from people saying how delicious the food was and
how professional and helpful the staff were.
I wasn't expecting any help with the drinks service but was delighted with the
help we got serving the Pimms and drinks early on in the evening. All the
staff were so helpful it really made the night go with a swing.
The Hog was so succulent and the crackling so crunchy - I am really glad that I
went for the free range. It was lovely to see the Paella being prepared on
site and the smell of the cooking food really got mouths watering. Nobody was
disappointed with the quality of the food and the portions were generous.
Thanks for all your hard work behind the scenes in helping to get everything
organised. I have been in event management for over 25 years and have
worked with many caterers in my time. You have been a delight to work with and
you certainly have got the food proposition just perfect. Many people have
asked who the caters were so I will be sure to pass on your details when people
are looking for someone for their next event.

Everyone commented on how fantastic the food was and how lovely the staff were. There was a fair amount of angst in our house on Saturday morning, with kids misbehaving and nothing ready. Your staff turned up and told me to leave them to it and they would sort everything out. They did just that and for the rest of the day I did not waste a single second worrying about the food. The entire service from the Essex Hog Roast company has been exceptional, from the moment I made my first enquiry to the last morsel of crackling disappearing! Thank you for making my big 4-0 something I will remember for a very long time.

[Essex Hog Roasts staff] were exceptional, incredibly polite and worked behind the scenes – we didn’t really know they were there – fantastic.
